The heart of the Heidelberg Innovation Park
Starting in summer 2023, the renovation of the historic stables in the heart of Heidelberg Innovation Park (hip) will begin. The new building is named Somerville and is centrally located at Mary Somerville Square.
With its unique architecture, the innovatively converted brick building creates an inviting and open atmosphere among the new buildings on campus.
The Somerville building and the public plaza in front of it, with its many green spaces, are planned as the living center of the hip campus.
Attractive commercial and gastronomic Areas
Currently, there are still selected spaces available for restaurant, retail and commercial on the first floor of our building, which we can design in consultation with you.
The modern studio office space on the upper floor, covering an area of approx. 900 sqm, is almost entirely leased to companies from the design, technology and events sectors. The building is currently being renovated and is scheduled for completion in early 2025.

The Somerville is the first house on Mary Somerville Square, the heart of Heidelberg Innovation Park. The management of the square is possible and desired.
The former U.S. Army site is located between the Kirchheim and Bahnstadt districts and offers optimal connections to public transportation, the bike path network and the highway.
A total of 5,000 jobs are to be created on the hip campus. In the direct vicinity of Somerville you will find numerous companies, the SNP Dome, the DAI-Begeisterhaus and much more.
